Purple Cowboy toured Calgary and felt right at home. Friendly people, great food that will pair nicely with great red wine and the Stampede grounds to play in. What is not to like.

Annual Testicle Festival….you’ll have a ball!
February 13th, 2010
Mark your calendars! The Annual Testicle Festival takes place at the FES Hall in Oakdale, California on March 29th. This is definitely an event where the local ranchers, businessmen and cowboys turn out to enjoy an evening with an open bar and plenty of “mountain oysters” – or “calf fries” – or whatever you may call them. The Testicle Festival made the Top 100 Western Events in the USA according to American Cowboy Magazine and is a “must attend” event by the locals. Who knows, maybe the secret wine marinade just might include Purple Cowboy??
You can buy tickets on-line at www.oakdalecowboymuseum.org.

Things to know about Paso Robles….

A long growing season of warm days and cool evenings give rise to vibrantly ripened fruit with dynamic flavor profiles that translate beautifully in your glass of Paso Robles wine”….according to the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance.

Wrangler turns purple in support of a football legend
January 23rd, 2010
We’ve been pouring all day at the Boston Wine Expo and want to say thanks to all the great wine lovers who came by our table and tasted our wines. But now our thoughts turn toward football and the big game tomorrow between New Orleans and Minnesota. We’re not taking sides, you understand. But we did kind of like what our friends at Wrangler did to support our favorite old guy, Brett Favre. (Sure he loves that). Anyway, they turned their logo purple in honor of the Minnesota Vikings.
You see, Wrangler and Brett have a long-time relationship, with Brett acting as spokesperson for Wrangler Jeans. Wrangler and our own Purple Cowboy work together to raise funds for breast cancer awareness through the Tough Enough To Wear Pink? organization. And the Favre family, especially Deanna, who is herself a breast cancer survivor, have done incredible work to fight this disease. So maybe we do feel just a little bit of love toward the QB who’s wearing purple tomorrow. Wrangler has asked their fans to post this logo to their walls during the playoffs (The Wrangler logo is usually red,)
So until we make a Purple Viking wine, Purple Cowboy and a posted logo will have to do. So go out and have a great game!

Purple Cowboy gets two thumbs up from The Today Show!
January 14th, 2010
http://bit.ly/4yoG8u Today Show hosts Hoda and Kathie Lee really, really like Purple Cowboy! They tasted the wine in a segment today about recommended wines for this long holiday weekend. Our Thirsty Girl friend, wine expert and author Leslie Sbrocco, a frequent guest, selected Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red as a wine that not only tastes good but does good. A big shout out was given to the support we lend to Tough Enough To Wear Pink? Kathie Lee was particularly taken with the wine and had some entertaining things to say (as usual). Be sure to click on the link to watch the segment.
Here’s a great quote about our wine posted on The Today Show section of msnbc.com:
“Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red Paso Robles, California, $13 A rough-and-ready blend of cabernet sauvignon and syrah that will please any lover of big reds. There is a softer side to the wine, too. With each case sold, a buck is donated to the breast cancer awareness organization, Tough Enough to Wear Pink. 2007 Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red Paso Robles, California, $13 A rough-and-ready blend of cabernet sauvignon and syrah that will please any lover of big reds.
